Star Ruler 2 – Wake of the Heralds

Star Ruler 2 - Wake of the Heralds

About This Content
The Heralds
For as long as the records recount, the Heralds have been on the run. Chased by an unknown entity, the Heralds jump from galaxy to galaxy as entire star systems vanish in their wake, as if consumed by the blackness of space itself.

Each new galaxy saves their species from extinction for a short time more. While impermanent, the people of the heralds learn to appreciate each new planet they settle, and live in hope of one day finding a place where they can end their journey.

Guide the evacuation from the previous galaxy as rickety refugee ships dare the perilous intergalactic jumps to one of your jump stabilization beacons. Send resources back home to gain benefits from the last vestiges of your crumbling civilization as you prepare to deal with your new neighbours.

The First
Although their once great empire is gone, reduced to nothing but remnants by the ravages of time, the minds of those who chose to live forever still carry on.

The planet Atrozal, hollowed out and brimming in circuitry; where a trillion souls discarded their bodies to be part of the final dream of the ancients.

The First care little for the physical world, yet the arrival of the Heralds spells a threat even their paradise does not escape. Send out massive orbital replicators to find raw materials and convert entire planets into automated refinery worlds and computation hubs. The entire weight of this galaxy must be unified if we hope to stand a chance of surviving.

Invasion
Time is of the essence in the new co-operative Invasion map. The waves of invaders trying to destroy your defense lines are becoming ever stronger, and you must push your empire to the limits to avoid your total destruction.

Advanced Technology
Research dozens of new technologies, subsystems, and weapons to place on your ship designs. The expanded research web has many new goodies in every corner.

Discover different Secret Project technologies every game which, while difficult to unlock, can give you just that edge you need to best your rivals.

Attitudes
Is your empire a Warmongering siege machine, or are you deviously Scheming to annex planets diplomatically? Are you Progressive in valuing the advancement of technology? Xenophobic in the distrust of your neighbours?

The new Attitudes mechanic lets you develop your empire’s personality over the course of the game, gaining unique benefits from whichever playstyle you choose to adopt.

Endless Legend – Shifters Expansion Pack

Endless Legend - Shifters Expansion Pack

About This Content
THE ALLAYI
When the Endless first came to Auriga they did not find an empty planet, but one teeming with life — some of it intelligent. The Guardians, caretakers of the planets, were one sentient species; another were their helpers and comrades, the Allayi.

The Allayi were broken and scattered by the Endless, and for centuries they have survived on the fringes of existence. Handing their traditions and stories down in the form of a religious text, the Epistles, and a book of prayer, the Euchologion, they have been waiting in the snows and the shadows until Auriga once again needs them. And it seems that this time has come…

The Allayi are a people so closely aligned to Auriga that their very nature changes as the Dark Seasons occur. While they are friendly and defensive in summer, when the harsh winters arrive they become aggressive and dangerous, reflecting the madness of the planet. They are tied so closely to Auriga’s fate that even their bodies alter to match the evolution of these extreme seasons.

Growing strong once again the Allayi have returned, prepared to defend and preserve Mother Auriga with all their grim strength.

NEW HEROES & UNITS
Deeply connected to the moods of Auriga, the Allayi change their appearance and abilities as the seasons change.

This attunement allows them to know precisely when seasons are changing, and see the Pearl’s location even hidden in the fog of war.

Seeker

Like cavalry, the Seeker strikes rapidly from a distance with a powerful charge. In summer the charge has a greater attack; in winter it removes the enemy’s defense.

Skyfin

Arguably the most revered and majestic being on Auriga, the Skyfin’s presence improves friendly morale in summer and decreases enemy morale in winter.

Monk

Powerful and hard-striking, the Monk unit’s skill with its long blade results in powerful counters in summer and powerful attacks in winter.

WINTER IS CHANGING
With ‘Shifters’ we have entirely revamped the Winter system by introducing a whole new layer of gameplay. Winter is changing!

New winter effects

Winters are never going to be the same anymore thanks to numerous new effects that even impact the Adventure map! Frozen lakes, rivers and coastlines can now be crossed on foot providing new strategic opportunities for your Empire, and its enemies…

Pearls of Auriga

A pure outgrowth of Auriga, they distill the living essence of the planet. Both powerful and beautiful, the Pearls can be put to many wondrous purposes.

Altar of Auriga

The Altar of Auriga is a sacred building to those who live upon her. It is a center of ancient power from the times even before the Endless. By bringing her Pearls here and unlocking the Altar’s Blessings, powerful magical effects can be applied to a city, region, or empire.

With the Altar, Empires can also use the collected Pearls to influence which effects will be applied to the next Winter cycle.

New buildings

Besides the Altar of Auriga, you can now build beautiful new districts that stand out in your cities and boost resources extraction and stockpiling. Pearls can also be used to build defense towers on the Adventure map that act as a defensive shield for your city, striking those who would come and do ill to your empire.

NEW ITEMS

Pearls are powerful, but also strange, fragile, and easily marred. To craft with them requires a high level of skill and great humility.

Powerful new items can now be crafted with Pearls such as the ‘Cuirass of the Snows’ that mitigates Winter’s negative effects, or the ‘Band of Auriga’s Chosen’ which allows troops to move faster on frozen grounds.

StarFringe: Adversus

StarFringe: Adversus

This is the story about the beginning of the conquest of outer space by earthlings. It began as a global idea of saving mankind from hunger and lack of resources, and ended as a brutal and merciless war in space far from Earth. The target was a group of planetary systems in the constellation Draco, and what was found there changed everything …

The game is not a classic real-time strategy (RTS) – we changed the basic principles of resource harvesting, units control and implemented a number of interesting ideas(unusual for RTS). We expect that this will give players a new gaming experience and bring a lot of fun.

The main goal of the player – the organization of an effective system of extraction and processing of resources to get the maximum benefits in the construction and research, capture control points on the map and the complete destruction of the enemy. Style of gameplay can be different, depending on the conditions of victory.

The game has a built-in wiki, which will be expanded with the development of the project and will help players to understand the intricacies of the gameplay.

Pocket Space Empire

Pocket Space Empire

This is not a perfect game. It has many flaws. Usually games are more playable during Early Access.

But this is what you will get for sure:

  • You will feel like the Emperor (assassins, imperial court, granting audiences, rebels, imperial officials)
  • No micromanagement (no moving individual ships around or constructing boring farms, you deal with more important things)
  • Unique mechanics (if you are bored with other games and wanted to see something fresh, you won’t be disappointed)

Basics:

Turn based, 4X, empire space builder, singleplayer.

The premise behind the game.

You are the emperor, not a logistics officer. You don’t deal with low level stuff like building farms, factories or individual ships. Instead you focus on the grander scale of things. You grant audiences, make edicts, appoint imperial officials, deal with court factions and assassins, crush rebels, decide on production quotas and priorities.

In the game there is no micromanagement, late game does not drag on forever. You can play a relatively fast paced game on a huge galaxy without late game slow downs. You own hundreds of planets, thousands of ships and all this is managed on the high level by edicts and a hierarchical fleet system. The whole premise was to make the player make only the important and interesting choices leaving everything else abstracted.

Another important feature is the asymmetric nature of the game. The AI plays by different rules, and does not try to win the game. Aliens are more like creatures living in the galaxy than computer controlled players. Sometimes they can be valuable assets worthy of protection and sometimes an obstacle to overcome. Aliens are not created equal, some are primitive beasts that shall be cleansed from the face of the galaxy, some are fellow humanoids inferior to Terrans of course but considered sentient and worthy of compassion.

In short it’s a fast paced turn based space empire builder with no micromanagement, asymmetric mechanics, and focus on you as the emperor.

Development plan:

* Early Access for 3-6 months (not guaranteed, just a prediction)

* At least one new version monthly during EA (typically every 1-3 weeks), bug fixes, especially serious ones, deployed much faster.

* Post release polish for 2-4 months

* After further 9 months, and if everything is all right, an expansion (it’s almost guaranteed, I have never done an expansion before and I’m excited to try, so I’m going to make one even if it does not make any sense financially :))

* Around 24 months of post release support (bug fixes and minor adjustments)

Notes:

* There will be no saves compatibility between versions during Early Access.
Requirements:

  • OS: Win XP or better
  • Graphics: Screen resolution minimum 1024×768
  • Additional Notes: The game should run on almost any hardware, even outdated one.
